Most of our chains are available in materials designed to operate in extreme environments. Some of these materials are detailed below.

MR (Melt Resistant)

A high melting point Nylon material used to prevent hot objects from melting the top of the chain. The material can handle product temperatures of up to 400°F (205°C).

FR (Flame Retardant)

Flame retardant PBT that meets the requirements of UL Standard 94 V-0.  

LF (Low Friction)

A proprietary blend of Acetal and additives that offer good wear resistance and long service life due to the low coefficient of friction.

IMX (Toughened, Impact Resistant)

A toughened Acetal resin that provides better impact resistance while maintaining wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction.

Si² ^™ (Our latest High Performance Material)

Acetal polymer enhanced with a UHMW Silicone additive that gives improved wear resistance and lower coefficient of friction. Ideal for dry running conveyors and high speed applications.

WX (Abrasion Resistant)

A Nylon material designed to be used in abrasive applications where the chain is subject to abrasives including sand, glass and dirt.
